ApplicationsConstruction sheet, used in flat and corrugated form for roof tiles and panelling, is usually manufactured by flat-die extrusion followed by calender polishing or by pressing calendered sheets.
Stabiliser Requirements
Excellent light stability and weathering properties and colour are necessary for this particular application. For maximum performance, it is essential to add UV-light stabilisers. The large surface areas are rather difficult to process and the formulation of the lubricant system needs special attention to ensure correct melt flow behaviour, good colour control and maximum product clarity.
Clear indoor sheets or coloured sheets have similar requirements for the stabilisers but do not require UV-light stability.
